When shipping to Brazil or conducting business in the country, it’s important to understand CPF and CNPJ, the two main identification numbers used for individuals and companies.
1. CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas)
CPF is the personal tax identification number in Brazil, similar to a Social Security Number or personal tax ID in other countries. It consists of 11 digits and is required for various personal transactions, including purchases, banking, rental agreements, and identity verification.
2. CNPJ (Cadastro Nacional da Pessoa Jurídica)
CNPJ is the business identification number in Brazil, similar to a company tax registration or corporate ID in other countries. It consists of 14 digits and identifies legal entities such as companies, organizations, and institutions. CNPJ is necessary for business registration, tax reporting, and conducting commercial activities in Brazil.
Providing a CPF or CNPJ ensures legality and authenticity for transactions. For e-commerce sellers, logistics providers, and financial institutions, collecting this information from recipients helps smooth customs clearance and ensures compliance with Brazilian regulations.
CE certification is limited to essential safety requirements, specifically ensuring that products do not endanger humans, animals, or goods, rather than general quality requirements. Harmonization directives only specify essential requirements, while general directive requirements are standard requirements. Therefore, the CE mark is a safety certification mark, not a quality certification mark. It is the "essential requirements" that form the core of European directives.
The CE mark is a safety certification mark, considered a manufacturer's passport to access the European market. CE stands for CONFORMITE EUROPEENNE.
In the EU market, the CE mark is a mandatory certification mark. Products manufactured within the EU or abroad must bear the CE mark to indicate compliance with the essential requirements of the EU's "New Approach to Technical Harmonization and Standardization" directive in order to be freely distributed within the EU market. This is a mandatory requirement imposed by EU law.
CE certification may be required for exports to any of the 30 member states of the European Economic Area (EEA), which includes the European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA).
CE certificate sample: Confirm product category and relevant EU product directives. If a product falls into more than one category, it must meet the requirements of all corresponding directives.
Requirements for affixing the CE mark are as follows:
1. It must be clearly visible and not easily removed by wear and tear.
2. The CE mark must be affixed by the manufacturer or its authorized representative.
3. It must be displayed on the product itself, packaging, instructions, or certificate of conformity.
4. It must not be confused with other markings.

1. Manufacturer's name and address
2. Product EU representative information
3. Product name and model number
4. Manufacturer's specified technical specifications
5. CE mark
6. Serial number
7. Production date

📦 Inner Packaging Requirements
Each battery must be properly labeled and individually protected to prevent short circuits and physical damage.
Each battery must show Voltage (V), Capacity (mAh), and Model Number
All wire ends must be fully insulated
Individual Packaging: One battery per bag, then placed in an inner box
Tray Packaging: Each cell must be separated and fixed to prevent movement
Slot Packaging: One battery per slot, no movement allowed
With wires: Each wire end must be insulated with non-conductive material
Fill Empty Space: Ensure boxes are fully filled to prevent shaking during transport
🔋 Packaging for Batteries Below 99Wh
Minimum outer carton weight: 2.5 kg (suitable for labeling and safe handling)
Required labels: Cargo aircraft only label, Class 9 label, caution label, address label
Carton quality: Must be strong, clean, and new; avoid yellow sealing tape or damaged boxes
Weight limit per carton: ≤ 10 kg (ideal 9.8 kg + 0.2 kg for documents)
Fill completely: No empty space; carton should not collapse under pressure
Recommended carton dimensions:
Square box: 30 × 16 × 25 cm
Rectangular box: 48 × 24 × 17 cm
⚙️ Packaging for Batteries Above 100Wh
Must use UN-certified cartons (default SGP model recommended)
Minimum carton weight: 4.5 kg
Labels: Cargo aircraft only, Class 9, and address label (three sides)
Weight control: Should not exceed the UN-rated limit; ideal per carton ≤ 23.8 kg + 0.2 kg for documents
Fill completely: Ensure the carton is firm and not deformable under pressure
All boxes in the same shipment should use the same UN model code
Note: Using non-standard box types (e.g. CNY model) is at the shipper’s own risk
